Tattoos

If you're into tattoos, one of the most important things is to have cool, original designs that you friends don't have. Right? Well there are so many tattoo sites online that you can get totally confused, so we've picked out a few that our reviewers (all body art enthusiasts!) really liked.

Chopper Tattoo

Chopper Tattoo is a membership site that gives members access to a massive gallery of tattoo designs, as well as information about where to find local tattoo artists. Honestly, the selection is SOOO-OO big it can be overwhelming, but if you want to pore over all the designs you'll likely be fascinated.

If you're a tattoo artist, with or without your own shop, you can also apply to have your own page on their website. This is a good opportunity to showcase your work and get more business, given the huge number of members looking for original tatoo designs. You also get 75% of any sale that is made from your page. If you think your bad ass designs would make the grade, go for it! 4 stars

Custom Chinese Tattoo Translation and Design

Chinese characters are among the most popular of all tattoos because of their visual appeal and the mystery behind them. But Chinese tattoos are also complex, and just missing a little stroke or reversing an image can completely change the meaning of the character. Imagine walking around with a character you thought had a cool message, and then having a Chinese person tell you it really means something quite different!

Yingying is a Chinese tattoo artist whose service eliminates the risk from getting a Chinese tattoo. With her service, you tell her the words you want in English, she translates them into Chinese and sends you back the Chinese characters. You can use them just for artwork if you like, but she also provides the outlines and stencils you'll need to present to your tattoo artist to have them inked.

She also has some neat bonuses, including an audio lesson on what you need to know BEFORE you get your tattoo.

If you want an authentic Chinese tattoo, with no risk of getting it wrong and having to go through the painful and expensive process of tattoo removal, you need Yingying's service. 5 stars

My Japanese Tattoo

If your preference is for Japanese characters --- and yes, they are different from Chinese! --- you should check out My Japanese Tattoo from David McGimpsey. OK, he doesn't sound Japanese to me either, but he does live in Osaka, Japan and he is a scholar of Japanese character kanji designs so he is definitely qualified.

The author warns that if you don't know what you are doing (and many tattoo parlors don't) it's easy to make a mistake and end up walking around with a kanji design that says something completely different from what you had in mind. Imagine if you thought that image on your arm said, "Bad ass dude" and it really said "tuna casserole"? Could easily happen! That's why you need My Japanese Tattoo!

You'll also get a coupon for custom translation of your name, or any other name you choose. So if you want your sweetheart's name on your arm in Japanese, order this book and be sure you're not saying "Irene" when you meant "Jennifer"! 5 stars

Tattoos for Women

Julie Williams is one smart lady. She knows that many women would love to have a tattoo but have doubts that most men wouldn't have. She realized this when she wanted to get her own first tattoo, so she set out to help other women get over their fears and doubts and the result was Tattos for Women.

Our reviewer chatted with her boyfriend about Tattoos for Women, and sure enough, he didn't have the same questions at all. So if you are a woman who wants body art, you MUST get this ebook and read it all before you visit your first tattoo parlor.

Some of the questions answered in Tattoos for Women are:

  • Choosing the best design that's perfect for you
  • How to "test drive" your tattoo so you won't regret it later
  • Which body areas are most affected by aging, and may not be the best place to put your tattoo
  • How to avoid health risks
  • All about the application process, where to get it done and how much it should cost

There's much more in this great e-book, and you also get some neat bonuses. A definite must read BEFORE you get your tattoo. 5 stars (We'd give this more stars if we had them!)
